New Horizons Orchestra 2018 Fall Session

Under the direction of Rachel Richards, New Horizons Orchestra Fox Valley begins its 2018 Fall Session Tues Sept. 4, 6:30 pm at First English Lutheran Church – North, 6331 North Ballard Road, Appleton (2.2 miles north of hwy 41, Ballard Road exit).  11 Tues evening rehearsals plus a New Horizons concert (Band & Orchestra) 7 pm Friday evening, Nov. 16.

Tuition is $120 due Sept. 4, or our two-payment plan:  $60 due Sept. 4, then $60 due Oct. 3.   Go to “Join Us” on this site to register.  Information about scholarships is also there.

Director Rachel Richards and beginning strings teacher Olive Bopp have found wonderful music for our 2018 fall session.  Expert instruction for beginners is provided.  Olive works with beginners, modifying our music as needed to ensure success for beginners, moving them to the full orchestra in a short time.  (Of course, private lessons may help you reach your musical goals more quickly, but aren’t required.  Practice at home is always encouraged!)  As always, there are no auditions, no tryouts, no solos (unless you volunteer).  It’s an inclusive orchestra for all adults wishing to play music in our ensemble.  You’ll find us an accepting, good-humored, non-critical and supportive group helping you to enjoy playing music with us.  Hope to see you there!
