ORCHESTRA 2023 Winter Session begins January 10

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR OUR 2023 WINTER SESSION.  OUR SPRING SESSION BEGINS MARCH 21.  CHECK THIS SITE MID-FEBRUARY FOR FULL INFORMATION. 

The New Horizons ORCHESTRA 2023 Winter Session with a musical theme “Voyage on the Open Sea” begins January 10.  We embark on this voyage with director, Rachel Richards.  Tuition is just $125* (may be split into 2 payments) for Tuesday evening rehearsals beginning January 10, thru March 7.  An orchestra-only concert is planned for Saturday, March 11.  YOU are welcome to join us!  Orchestra membership is open to any adult with an interest in playing a string instrument (violin, viola, cello, string bass)  in our ensemble.  Experience and expertise are secondary.  We only ask you try your best.  Your best is always good enough!

Some members have been with the orchestra since its founding at Lawrence University in 2004.  But some members are brand new!  All are welcome!  We have professional instructors for string beginners so beginners can join the full orchestra within in a few months.

So many members say orchestra rehearsal is the high point of their week!  When you join, you’ll likely agree!  Music soothes the soul, inspires and comforts all of us.  Some of our music is challenging, much of our music is within the capabilities of nearly every player.  Professional musician; beginner string player; all are welcome!
